Darwin's Top Laksas

Who makes Darwin's best laksa? For years it's been a long standing argument... Until the Darwin International Laksa Festival.

With more than 40 local laksa chefs fighting it out for the title of People's Choice best laksa, three dishes came out on top.

After placing second to Asian Pot in 2019, the famous Mary's Laksa took home the title of Darwin's Best Laksa in 2020. 

A visit to Mary on a Saturday morning is a must-do Darwin experience. You'll see Mary recalling people's orders from memory, even if they've only ordered once or twice before.

It was a close race between Mary's and Asian Pot, with the local favourite and hidden gem missing out on taking home a consecutive win.

When visiting Asian Pot's shopfront in Darwin Central, you can expect authenticity and genuine flavours. You're greeted by friendly faces and you can guarantee you'll leave full and satisfied.

Alongside Asian Pot & Mary's was Chok's Place. After taking home the title of Darwin's Best Laksa in 2019 and 2020, Chok's Place has cemented itself as a fierce competitor in the Darwin laksa scene.
