As we dive into this vibrant festival, we’re already feeling the energy of the 1,406 users who have joined the competition this year. It’s clear that our collective love for laksa is alive and thriving, making for an exciting first week.

As we take a look at the leaderboard, it’s currently Leanne who has claimed the top spot with an impressive 14,977 points. Jo B is not far behind, holding strong at 14,301 points James S comes in at 9,879 points.

The next two spots are occupied by @nt with 8,277 points and Kendra at 7,801 points. The competition is fierce, and it’s exhilarating to witness how each player strategises to climb the ranks.

In just one week, we’ve seen a total of 950 reviews submitted and 490 check-ins recorded. It’s amazing to see the community come together to share their experiences and recommendations.

Among the most reviewed dishes this week are the Muffin and Laksa from Makan Stop & Kopi Stop.

The Purple Lady’s Laksa, Chow Laksa from Chow!, and the Hot Honey Laksa Fried Chicken Burger from the Patty Shack have also received rave reviews.

Each dish offers its own unique twist, showcasing the creativity and diversity of laksa cuisine.

This year, the Laksa League has introduced some exciting features to enhance your playing experience. A photo competition allows participants to vote for their favorite laksa-inspired snapshots, adding a fun and interactive element to the festival.

Additionally, you can earn various badges that grant  extra points for specific achievements, such as checking in seven days straight for the “Perfect Week” badge, or becoming a “Rural Ruler” by checking into five venues in rural areas. “The Early Bird”, “Night Owl”, and “Frequent Flyer” badges also provide unique challenges that encourage players to explore different dining spots.

As if that wasn’t enough, prizes await the top contenders in both Darwin,Alice Springs and Katherine. The stakes are high, with first-place winners receiving two return flights to Perth and three nights at Metro Hotel Perth, courtesy of Airnorth. Other prizes include an 18-person sunset dinner cruise, family passes to the Yellow Water Cruise, shopping vouchers, and gourmet food tours experience—making the competition even more thrilling!

With so much to look forward to in the coming weeks, we’re excited to explore more dishes, earn those badges, and see how the leaderboard evolves.
Here’s to a delicious week two in the Laksa League!
